Nihon Bunka Club/Japanese Culture Club

The Japanese Culture Club is a student organization meant to provide a place for students to have conversations in Japanese, learn more about Japanese cultures, and provide a language-learning community outside of the classroom for NKU students. The Club will organize and promote on-campus and off-campus activities and attend special events related to the Japanese language and culture.

Honors Society: Phi Sigma Iota

Phi Sigma Iota, the international foreign language honor society, established the Gamma Phi Chapter at NKU in 1997 to confer distinction on students for high achievement in the study of foreign languages, literatures and cultures. Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages. Students are selected for membership on the basis of total semester hours of university work, number of hours of work completed in their chosen language, overall grade point average and grade point average in foreign language classes.
